A key region for local and global impact

Humaniti has headquarters in Canada and the US, making the Americas a key region within our global operation. Not only do we work to address the most pressing humanitarian needs of citizens across both continents, we also collaborate with many key US organizations to plan and execute our impact internationally.

Relief in the Americas

Humaniti works with a host of organizations that address the most pressing humanitarian needs across the Americas including debilitating poverty, homelessness, and extreme weather disasters.

Food security in the Americas

Despite economic prosperity across North America, food insecurity is an increasingly rampant issue throughout the Americas. Humaniti is working to expand our programs across the region so that individuals and communities can access nutritious food, regardless of their circumstances.

Water access in the Americas

Water scarcity is a dire reality for many worldwide, and the Americas are no exception, particularly South America where water infrastructure is poor in many remote regions. Humaniti works with local governments and agencies to build sustainable water sources that will serve these communities for decades to come.

Healthcare in the Americas

The Americas represent a range of economic realities and countless communities struggle with healthcare access due to poor infrastructure, remote locations and poverty. Humaniti works with NGOs and local organizations to provide critical services and increase capacity where it’s needed most.

Prosperity in the Americas

Immigrants, refugees, youth and single parents across the Americas face barriers to opportunities and can be easily trapped in a cycle of poverty. Humaniti operates programs across the region to bolster these groups with job training and livelihood programs that enable them to find rewarding work and thrive.

Support for mothers in the Americas

Supporting mothers is a key focus for Humaniti across the world and the Americas are no exception. We work with key organizations across the Americas to meet the unique needs of mothers facing challenges including poverty, domestic violence, barriers to employment and children with special needs.

Child welfare in the Americas

Throughout the Americas many children face extremely harsh realities including poverty, a lack of basic necessities and care, and a high risk of violence and exploitation. One of our top priorities at Humaniti is expand our impact on these children and change their future.
