Every child is precious
We live in a world full of children who have been deserted and traumatized by war and disaster, going to bed hungry and thirsty every night, yanked from their lives and sold into exploitation. Cherish Children was launched to change the unbearable reality for millions of children and ensure no young life is left behind.
The care they need
1 in 4 children under 5 don’t have access to nutritious food, while 1 in 5 children don’t have access to clean water. Entire nations worth of children are struggling without the most basic necessities and we just can’t let this continue.
Cherish Children projects help children and families in crisis have their basic needs met either by providing immediate relief or longer term holistic care. The support they receive includes:
• Nutritious meals
• Clean water
• Shelter and housing
• Clothing and comfort items
Education and growth
A quarter of a billion children are out of school around the world. A lack of education significantly limits a child’s ability to grow, expand their mind, and live a full, purposeful life.
We work with partners locally and internationally to help children who face barriers to education and provide them with opportunities to learn and apply themselves academically. Projects include:
• Nutritional programs for students
• Training and tutoring
• Wellness initiatives promoting sports and the arts.
A place to call home
Millions of children are wandering the world without a place to call home. From children orphaned by war or disaster, to those who’ve been displaced with no roof over their head, to those children who were kidnapped and exploited so young that they lost their civil rights – we’re here to be the support they so desperately need.
Cherish Children works to change the reality for children living through life-and-death circumstances, focusing on three key areas:
• Care for orphaned children
• Shelter for displaced children
• Guidance for stateless children
