Where change is needed in Africa

People across the continent face ongoing conflicts that displace millions and worsen food insecurity. Intensified weather devastate agriculture and exacerbate famine, while disease and poor access to water, healthcare and education hinder development and well-being. Humaniti leads programs that seek to address these issues and spread long-term positive change across the region.

Relief in Africa

Millions of people in Africa face urgent threats to their survival in the aftermath of extreme weather like droughts and floods, and ongoing conflict that leaves millions without the basic essentials. Humaniti and our partners deliver emergency aid including food supplies, hygiene kits and medical care where the need is most urgent.

Food security in Africa

Famine is a heartbreaking reality for millions of men, women and children across Africa and is responsible for so many lives cut far too short. Humaniti works with NGOs and local organizations to provide the most food-insecure communities across Africa with nutritious hot meals, food supplies and student meal programs.

Water access in Africa

Climate change is increasing droughts that deprive communities of water needed for agriculture and daily life. Intensified floods increase the presence of disease-ridden water that risks the lives of anyone who uses it. We work to support African communities facing the deadliest water shortages with sustainable sources that yield thousands of gallons of clean water for years to come.

Healthcare in Africa

Struggling economies and a lack of resources prevent millions of people in Africa from getting the healthcare they need and deserve. Humaniti and our partners deploy mobile clinics to deliver critical medical care to remote communities where healthcare is virtually non-existent. We also lead initiatives that construct, expand and modernize healthcare centres to provide more consistent care to a greater number of people.

Prosperity in Africa

Complex socioeconomic factors keep millions of African people in a cycle of extreme poverty from which they cannot break free. Humaniti and our partners operate programs that provide financial assistance and resources to help people develop businesses and secure consistent income. We also lead well-being initiatives for youth and their families to bolster well-being and strengthen skills that contribute to a thriving life.

Support for mothers in Africa

Poor access to food, water and healthcare create extremely dire circumstances for mothers and their children which is why it’s so important we prioritize this group across Africa where resources are the most scarce. Humaniti and our partners are focused on meeting the most critical needs for mothers, especially new and single mothers, whether it’s emergency relief, critical medical treatment, pre- and post-natal care, or stabilizing support like counselling and job opportunities.

Child welfare in Africa

Millions of children across Africa face multiple threats to their life including famine, displacement and exploitation. Humaniti and our partners are launching initiatives that not only provide essential care to children in need but also educational opportunities and well-being initiatives that impact their quality of life long-term.
