Replenishing a life source
Projections show that almost 1 billion people will face intense water scarcity in the next decade. Clean water is a necessity not only for survival but for cooking, cleaning, and bathing. It’s an essential element of a healthy, dignified life and the world is rapidly running out of it.
Our Flow program champions innovative solutions and technologies to combat the global water crisis. Our teams are deployed to the most water-scarce regions in the world, where they restore and build new sustainable water systems so that entire communities are able to access clean water for years to come.
Creating safer, healthier lives
A lack of clean water access impacts so many aspects of human life. Without clean water women and children are forced to spend their days walking great, perilous distances to retrieve water supplies for the family. This not only increases their risk of violence (by man or animal) but prevents them from staying in school and expanding their potential. Plus, the water they do fetch is often dirty and disease-ridden.
When we install a clean water system into a remote community we’re not only supplying clean water but a whole new world of opportunity for women and children to focus on their future, without the constant threat of violence and illness.
A global ripple-effect
When a community is given a reliable source for clean water it impacts so much more than just the individual. Clean water is necessary for crops and livestock and the overall food supply within the community. It’s necessary for hospitals and healthcare systems to treat people efficiently and keep the population healthy and capable. And in times of crisis and conflict, clean water has a huge impact on the health and stamina of survivors.
Clean water is one of the most essential aspects of human life and Humaniti is using all of the manpower, resources and modern technology available to ensure that everyone on earth has access to it.
